I'm an American by birth but a citizen of the world. I have lived in Japan and New Zealand as well as several regions of the U.S.A.. My hobby is hiking (tramping.) Contributing since 2016. I have walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain four times, so I consider myself something of an expert on such matters.

I'm an alumni of the University of Chicago, receiving masters in 1989 and 1991. I have also studied at: the University of Otago, UCLA, University of Illinois and Northwestern University.
