As a professor of English, I teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in literature, theory, film, and writing. I publish mostly in the fields of literary studies, information literacy, popular culture, and internet practices.

I've felt conflicted about wikipedia and many other internet resources long before our current obsessions over "fake news." All too often we take whatever we find on the internet (particular if what we find fits what we're looking for) as valid information, and wikipedia's open model makes it vulnerable -- until someone catches on and makes corrections -- to hijacking by individuals with fringe views.

Please send me any comments you might have about my contributions to this project.
