The 2008–09 NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represented NC State University in the 2008–09 men's college basketball season. The team was coached by Sidney Lowe and played its home games at the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC. The Wolfpack is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The 2008–09 season marked the 99th season of Wolfpack men's basketball. NC State finished the season 16–14 (6–10 in ACC play). The team was eliminated in the 1st round of the 2009 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament by Maryland. They were not invited to any post-season tournaments.
Previous season[edit]
The Wolfpack finished the 2007–08 season 15-16, 4-12 in ACC play to finish in 12th place. They lost to Miami in the 1st round of the ACC tournament, 63-50.
