Hello, my name is Jessica Stafford I am a 16 year old Running start Student at EVCC and an athlete. I run Cross-Country and I also Pole vault in Track and Field. My personal record for pole vaulting is 9 feet and 6 inches and I have only been vaulting for 2 years. I broke the freshmen pole vault record for our school and I am so close to breaking the school record. I enjoy playing the piano and the ukulele as well as singing. I write my own songs and learn other songs on my instruments. In my free time I like to ride bikes, hangout with friends and shop.

I'm very interested in nature and could see myself writing about nature if become involved in the encyclopedia over the long term. I would really enjoy writing about flowers and all the different kinds of flowers because I think they are so beautiful and all unique in there own way. I don't know of many flowers but I am interested in doing some research on them to learn more!

Article Review

I wanted to research blossoms because I love flowers and I love fruits so I wanted to know more about the relation between them. I always see blossom trees but never knew the difference between all the different kinds. I visited the blossom page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: its lack of citations, It not being up to date and the lack of information.

Citations

There are some sources cited but not very many. The first source that was cited led to a page not found, the second source was a book and all of the rest of the sources were from the same source which is also a book. So really they only have a dead source and two books as sources which are the same type of source so there is not very much variety. It would have been good for the article to cite different kinds of sources like maybe also an internet source or a newspaper source to be more reliable. They have a few External links but one is a dead source and the other ones don't seem very reliable.

Age

The article is not very up to date, one of the sources is six years old and the other is eighteen years old. It has been updated a few times in the past few years but the sources haven't changed.

Structure

The article doesn't talk very much about the importance of blossoms. It also states the different kinds of blossoms and their colors but it doesn't really give information on each one. The only added on information from what a blossom is would be the herbal use section and it mostly just talks about the ancient times.

Summery

Ultimately, I would say this page is pretty good. For the most part it covers what blossoms are and how they were used long ago. Some of it is hard to tell if it is totally reliable because of the lack of sources. It also doesn't talk about very many aspects of blossoms, only what they are and the ancient time uses.
