Llanfair PG

I don't know if you're aware that a proposal (mine) to move this article to Llanfairpwllgwyngyll is being debated at the moment. As you raised the issue of the article title a few months ago, do you want to comment at all? --Blisco 19:12, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Proposed move of Alternative political spelling

Hi. I just noticed at Talk:Alternative political spelling#Proposed changes that, a while ago, you endorsed a move of that article to a more concise title. Apparently that proposal never went through, but I recently made a similar move proposal for the same article. I thought you might like to drop by the page and provide your input, since the issue's been re-opened. I'd be happy to discuss it if you have any particular questions. Thanks! –Sommers (Talk) 00:35, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Red green

I don't know if people with red-green color blindness go around calling themselves that but I myself was looking for red-green colorblindness today and typed in red green. I was about to add it anew and saw that it had just been commmented out. There's probably other people who this would be helpful for. Savidan 01:27, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Plaid Cymru

Hello. There's a two-man edit war going on within this article at the moment. I'd like to see the debate widened again. Deb 16:33, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

WPTL todo

I recently constructed an attempt at a more organized WikiProject Theoretical Linguistics open tasks template, but I haven't received any responses on the project talk page. If you could take a look at the test: User:Mitchoyoshitaka/WPTL todo and comment on it, I'd greatly appreciate any feedback or criticism! mitcho/芳貴 02:41, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:2004 New-York-Times Firefox ad.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:2004 New-York-Times Firefox ad.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 17:10, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Green Youth (disambiguation)

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Green Youth (disambiguation), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Wikipedia:Manual of Style (titles)

Hi. This article soesn't just relate to works, but other titles as well, e.g. names of ships, locomotives, etc. Therefore I've changed Wikipedia:Titles back to titles of things referred to, as this reflects the description within the linked article. I agree it should be "on", not "for". However if you feel it should be titles of works, feel free to change it back. – Tivedshambo (talk) 16:30, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi Joe. I've reassessed this article as you requested, and given some suggestions for further improvements. If I have time one day, I'll stop by and help as well. Best wishes, Bencherlite 16:07, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (schools)

You got some replies to your question at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (schools). I don't know if you were watching the page or gave up (it took a weeee bit of time), but I just wanted to let you know. Miss Mondegreen talk  12:00, July 2 2007 (UTC)

Hatnote

Simple, one would spell Alan with one l as the default and spell Johnson without the t as the default (as I did when looking for him here). Or is that just my English prejudice? SqueakBox 22:09, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Make

What's the point? Now it goes to the same place via a redirect, which is even less desirable. Feeeshboy 12:48, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm not reverting anything; I just asked a simple question. I'd read the guideline you cited... just misread it, I guess. I thought it was referring to cases in which there was a page with the specific meaning (I find the language somewhat misleading on this), but after clicking on the links, I see that it's not that at all. Thanks for pointing that out, because I edit a lot of links to disambig pages. Feeeshboy 01:18, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

New user error

You sent me a message about using copyright tags, but when I went back to correct the issue, it said that I do not have rights because I am a new user. Any help would be appreciated.

Raahe Museum Photos

Thank you for information about the copyright tags concerning the picture of museum. I checked out original author (photographer) that has given all rights to our city & museum. I added the picture to wikipedia commons under GNU license. I am working at this particular museum myself, and started this wikiproject with my co-workers:) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hengga (talkcontribs)

dab notices

Thanks for your message on my talk page. I have replied there: see User talk:BrownHairedGirl#dab_notices. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 19:34, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

It's a pity hat you didn't reply to my response, in which I explained why Betty Williams (politician) is ambiguous. Reverting without discussion is not good practice. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:27, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Just a small heads-up regarding assuming good faith (not your actions)

Heritage Junior/Senior High School - help me.

Thanks for responding. I had gone to bed and am just reading it now. I had been up for 23 or so hours at that point and was basically looking for someone to help me figure out if what I really saw was what I thought I saw. And yes, I finally heard back from the person who originally db'd it and yes, it happened just as I thought!

Nonsense of Argumentum ad chewbaccum

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Argumentum ad chewbaccum, by Pixelface (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Argumentum ad chewbaccum provides no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Argumentum ad chewbaccum, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 23:35, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Image:Ieuan wyn jones.jpg

Thank-you for spamming my user talk page with boilerplate copyright infringement notices. Unfortunately, such edits are considered unhelpful and may be ignored in any further decision-making discussions. As I am assuming you are not being intentionally disruptive, I would suggest you need to read Crown copyright and the relevant rationale at Image:Ieuan_wyn_jones.jpg#licensing over before adding such tags. Also, it may be helpful to consider that Crown Copyright releases images for 'any format or medium provided it is reproduced accurately and not used in a misleading context', so long as 'the source of the material [is] identified and the copyright status acknowledged' as it clearly has been on the relevant page. Also note that general American fair use standards do not apply in this case, as it has been released under a separate British license.

If you have posted other such notices, consider checking that you have specified how these notices fully satisfy our sense of decency. You can find a list of 'User talk' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that warning templates which could be replaced by more relevant information or discussion will be utterly ignored 7 days after this notification, and relevant image tagings will likely be reverted.

In the future, you may wish to consider 'Mainspace editing' as an alternative to such activity.

If you have any questions please ask them at my talk page. Thank you. -- The_socialist talk? 09:13, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi there, I noticed you put your name down as interested in a Birmingham meetup. Just letting you know, the date is now set as Saturday 20th October.
