Jose Benjamin Villanueva Jose Benjamin Villanueva is an Filipino-American entrepreneur and marketing professional. Born to Jose Tubongbanua Villanueva of Bacolod City (1922-1996), and Fe Betia Gonora (1924) of Valladolid, Negros Occidental, on March 31, 1960. Attended grade school at Tangub Elementary School (now Rodolfo A. Medel, Sr. Elementary School) from 1967-1973. and high school at the Negros Occidental High School (1973-1977). He attended college at the University of Negros Occidental Recoletos in Bacolod City.

In 1981, Jose moved to the capital city of Manila and worked with different big companies in various positions, among them are: Thomas Aguirre Group of Companies, Rosario Brothers Corp. (Manila C.O.D. Dept. Stores), Abenson Group, Tradeway Appliances. In 1990, Jose decided to put his skills,talent and experiences to work for him. He established an export manufacturing company, Golden Salver Trading and started producing hand-crafted decorative and seasonal items solely for export to the United States and Europe. He shipped orders to Oriental Trading, Neimann Marcus, Christmas Tree Shops, JC Penney, among others. As president and general manager of Golden Salver Trading, Jose was elected to the Board of Directors of the largest craft manufacturers association in the country, the Philippine Chamber of Handicraft Industries (PCHI) and was also a member of the Philippine Exporters Confederation (PhilExport). When Philippine export was starting to lose most of the business to China, Jose decided to close shop and migrated to the United States where his parents have long been residing in.

In 2000, Jose met the love of his life and married the former Gina Gonzaga, a registered nurse in Newark, New Jersey who also hailed from Bacolod city, Philippines. Not long after, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Jolene Joie (2001). He also gained a very handsome stepson, Gene Michael, from Gina's previous marriage. It was not hard for him to find employment.~~~~~~~~
