Moksha and enlightenment[edit]

  • I Keep Vigil of Rudra: The Vachanas: "The only ways out of such an assailable fort of dharma were samadhi (absorption in God), moksha (escape from a conditioned existence"
Samadhi and moksha as different means... Samadhi as a temporary state; moksha as an escape after this life. Compare the Buddha: samadhi to stop the influence from sensory input, which usually results in action, c.q. any kind of response. it's a millennium-old issue in Indian reiligiosity: medittaion (dhyana) versus insight (prajna etc.).
