'Tadeusz Szymon Krępowiecki' Born 1798 Warsaw, died January 5th 1848 in London


Polish politician and journalist, independence activist, participated in the November Uprising fighting in the battles of Stoczek and Boremel. During the defense of Warsaw, he was wounded

He came from a Jewish family. He was an opponent of General Chlopicki's dictatorship

In March 1832 with Aleksander Pulaski they founded the "Polish Democratic Society" (Polish: Towarzystwo Demokratyczne Polskie, TDP)

In exile he spent time in Paris, Jersey and London

17th March 1842 married Mary Ann Westcott, in Whitechapel, Middlesex
