Brooklinen Brooklinen is a privately-held e-commerce company based in Brooklyn, New York, that sells luxury bedding online. Founded in 2014, the company is known for its high-quality sheets made from long-staple cotton.

History[edit]

In 2014, Rich and Vicki Fulop were inspired to start Brooklinen when they fell in love with a set of luxurious hotel bed sheets, only to find they cost around $800. Seeking to sell high-end linens at a fair price, the couple conducted extensive industry and consumer research, and visited textile manufacturers around the world. They invested $25,000 of their own money and family investments to launch Brooklinen.

In its first year of business, Brooklinen initiated a Kickstarter campaign with an initial goal of $50,000. It ended up raising more than $236,000 in pre-launch orders.

In 2017, the company raised $10 million in Series A funding from FirstMark Capital.

To date, Brooklinen has 15,429 reviews with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5.0.

Products[edit]

Brooklinen specializes in luxury sheets, comforters, pillows and blankets, working with factories in Israel and Canada to cut out the middleman and sell their products directly to consumers. They also offer blankets, candles and fabric care. Their offerings are made with neutral color palettes and subtle patterns in order to appeal to a wide variety of tastes.
