DOMINION COLOUR CORPORATION

Dominion Colour Corporation (DCC) and its subsidiary companies provide colour to the world through the development, manufacture, marketing and distribution of a full range of inorganic and organic colour pigments, pigment preparations and dispersions, and anticorrosive pigments, as well as some specialty coatings and digital inks.

Its products are sold to household names in the coatings, plastics and ink industries and is active in over 75 countries on the five continents.

History[edit]

DCC was incorporated in 1946 as a subsidiary of Canadian Wallpaper Manufacturers (CWM) to manufacture coloured pigments for CWM and other Canadian users. Up until that time many paint, ink and wallpaper manufacturers had their own small scale facilities for making these pigments. With the efficiencies brought about by specialization, DCC soon became the largest manufacturer of coloured pigments in Canada and today is the only one.
