Good Cop Bad Cop is an unreleased action-adventure game developed by Revolution Software. The game was intended for release for Windows, PlayStation 2 and Xbox from 2002 to 2004, but ended up getting canceled. Played from a third-person perspective, the story follows detective Ben Kellman, who can seek justice or revenge over his father killer, allowing the game to have two different endings.

Overview[edit]

Good Cop Bad Cop was designed as an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective, using 3D computer graphics rendered in real-time. The gameplay would combine elements of action and puzzle solving. The player would embark rooftop chases and gun fights across crowded thoroughfares, kick down doors, capture, arrest or execute suspects, and would further be free to either beat up or kill suspects, and wound or permanently silence enemies. Action scenes would include killing up to 15 enemies at once. The player would assume the role of detective Ben Kellman, who meets the man who killed his father 25 years ago, and can either seek revenge or justice, leaving two completely different possible endings.

Development[edit]

On May 14, 2001, Revolution Software revealed that, during the development of Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon and a Game Boy Advance port of Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars, they have been working Good Cop Bad Cop, a title set for release for Windows, PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2002.
