PredecessorIsuzu Giga

The Isuzu Amaterasu (Japanese: いすゞ・アマテラス or いすゞ・天照) is a cab over truck that replaces the outgoing Isuzu Giga, taking its name from the sun-goddess Amaterasu. Closely related to the Iveco Stralis, it shares many components with it, except for the engine and gearbox. The Amaterasu will gradually replace Isuzu Giga in Japan, and will be sold in the United States as well. All engines include diesel exhaust fluid for reducing emissions.
