King Francis of Elbownia has been the ruler of Elbownia since 1944.

The King's official residence is Elbowshire Palace.

The King's life[edit]

The King was born on 25 February 1928 in Co. Westmeath. The King had a love for elbows from the day he was born. His first word was 'elbow', and in 1941 he realised his potential to be a great leader when he killed a school bully using only his elbow. This incident led to the start of elbow-fighting in 1943. He was crowned as King of Elbownia on 1 September 1946 by Sir Ben Hussey, the Elbowpope. After conquering Australia and New Zealand in 1972, he took the land he had and named it the Elbow Empire and declared himself Emperor. The Elbow Empire covers 3/4 of the Earth's land surface, and has recently reclaimed Peru after an uprising in November 2007. The King declared the 9th of December National Beat Michael Feeney Day. The first, in 2007, saw the slaughter of over 1 million people with the last name Feeney. The Army also killed their leader, The Great In-Feeney, whose real name was Michael Feeney (1935-2007). His most recent achievement is annexing Elbownia with Kneeland in January 2008. The successor to the throne is Prince Francis (b. 1967). Today, the King's favourite pastimes are watching an elbow-fight to the death at Moydow Royal Elbow-Coliseum or going for a round of golf. He owns a 35-room holiday home in Melbourne, Australia, and spends most of the summer months here.

Elbownia[edit]

Elbownia is the first ever piece of land to be taken over by the King and consists of Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly and Carrick-on-Shannon. This area was lost by the United Kingdom in 1917, and became a Dominion of the British throne. In 1944, King Francis I became Prime Minister. He used the articles of the Statute of Westminster to declare the area a fully independent kingdom, and became the first King in 1946. Elbownia City is the capital and consists of the areas formerly known as Longford Town and Moydow. The city has three airports, Elbownia International, Elbownia Interdimensional and Elbownia Intergalactic. The government sit at Humeronia, which was formerly known as Roscommon Town. Another noticeable city is Arthritisia, formerly Athlone.

The King's first government[edit]

The King's first government is still in power. The Prime Minister/Chancellor of the Exchequer is Sir Gavin Tucker (b. 1924). The Field Marshal of the Elbow Army is Sir Michael J O'Reilly (b. 1968). The Elbow Army was set up in 1957 and is still running with great success. The Prime Minister declared that the next General Election will be held in 2009 and the current (and only) party, Fianna Uilleann, are hot favourites to win. The Department of National Finances revised their budget earlier this month to spend 20% more on health and 85% less on schools. In 1983, an ancillary Government, the 'Assembly of the Empire', was founded in Melbourne, Australia, to bring Asia and Australasia under greater control.

Elbowshire Palace[edit]

The King lives at Elbowshire Palace, a 57-room mansion on the outskirts of Elbownia City. It was built in 1951 as a permanent residence for the King at a cost of £10,000. The palace is now worth in excess of €700,000,000. The palace grounds take up 10,000 hectares. The entrance hall of the six-storey house contains a statue commemorating the king's coronation by His Holiness Ben Hussey in 1946. There are over 300 servants in the house to meet the King's every whim. Elbowshire Estate boasts a nine-hundred and fifty-four-hole golf course over-looking Lough Ree.

The Elbow Rebellion[edit]

A rebellion led by Sir Danny O'Sullivan (1973-2008) and the Elbownian Republican Army broke out in October 2007. The Rebellion was unsuccessful, and easily defeated. The rebellion resulted in the deaths of 97 people, and 395 sheep. The leader of the rebellion was captured on 15 November 2007, and executed on 21 January 2008 after 67 days imprisonment on Elba Island.
