Movez is a U.S. based event management & social networking application. The service allows users to browse, attend, create, and promote events globally. The service charges a fee to event organizers or attendees in exchange for online ticket management services, unless the event is free. The software also allows event organizers to categorize their events with tags.[1] The company launched their first application onto the app store on January 18th, 2017, which received tremendous traction in cities across the United States, such as Denver, CO, Los Angeles, CA and Boston, MA. In February 2017, Movez introduced a ride-sharing partnership with Uber. [2] In May of 2018, the company was featured as a rising U.S. startup streamlining event management technology at Facebook's annual developer conference known as F8.[3][4][5][6][7]

Funding[edit]

On February 28, 2017, Movez launched a Kickstarter campaign, and on April 14, 2017, the Movez project was successfully funded with 27 backers pledging $11,341 USD. On December 1st, 2017 Movez raised an undisclosed amount in an investment round led by American Businessman Charles Phillips.[8] On January of 2020, Movez raised another undisclosed investment in growth capital financing led by private institutional investors.[9] In February 2023, the company raised an undisclosed investment from Techstars[10], the largest global pre-seed accelerator.
