U.S. Ada Lovelace Day 2014 edit-a-thon, Simon Fraser University

Now in its sixth year, Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and related fields. Participants from around Metro Vancouver are invited to gather together at Simon Fraser University to edit and create Wikipedia entries on women who have made significant contributions to the STEM fields.

SFU Research Commons event details[edit]

  • Date: Tuesday, October 14th, 9:00am to 1:30pm
  • Venue: Research Commons , Bennett Library, Simon Fraser University (7th floor); 8888 University Drive, Burnaby, B.C. Canada V5A 1S6. FYI:
  • Cost: Free
  • Participants: The event is open to anyone who wishes to help preserve women’s STEM history! No Wiki editing experience necessary; as needed, help will be on hand for Wikipedia newcomers. Female editors are particularly encouraged to attend. Can’t be there the whole time? No problem. Join us for as little or as long as you like.
  • Details: Attendees should bring their own laptops and power cords. Coffee will be provided.
