Rekha Chaudhari is the Global Wellness Ambassador for India and a social entrepreneur[1] for the non-profit organizations JSWE, GWD, Zep Foundation and Mothers Touch. She is also the Founder and Managing Director of Oneline Wellness.[2] [3] Starting out of a Northwestern tribal village in Nandurbar, Maharastra, Rekha has build her business in the Spa and wellness industry while also trying to employ underprivileged women and youth in the beauty and wellness sector.

Career[edit]

As an Entrepreneur in the Beauty, Spa & Wellness industry,[5] she has contributed both technically and professionally to the wellness industry[6] through her research and business.[2]Representing multiple international luxury beauty brands in India like Remy Lauren. She has shaped the lives of more than a thousand tribal and rural young men and women by providing them free-of-cost classes, employment in various high-end luxury spas, salons and luxury hotels across India and her guidance to lead many young people to become successful entrepreneurs via Oneline Wellness and JSWE Institute. The Novel Rope Massage by Rekha Chaudhari won ‘the Most Innovative Spa Treatment 2010’ by Asia Spa[7] She is from the indigenous tribal community of Nandurbar, Maharashtra. [8] [9]

Mothers touch & Rope therapy[edit]

Rekha reinvented the long-lost Indian traditional mother-child care tradition to suit modern mothers and children. Her patented concept “MOTHER's TOUCH” has found applications in treating postpartum depression through trained professionals providing massage, diet and specialised care to the mother during the 6 month period post pregnancy.[10] has been acknowledged by Harvard University, John Hopkins and Oxford University accepting her research on the Indian prenatal traditions, which is published on the WHO platform. She has created a social business model around this concept promising 60,000 job opportunities for women across villages of India. She was awarded Philosophiae Doctor Honoris Causa by Sorbon University, France in 2019 [11]

ZEP Foundation[edit]

Through the ZEP Foundation, Rekha Chaudhari has provided livelihood opportunities to over 10000 women from the rural parts of India by providing them jobs in the wellness industry, they have provided skill trainings and placements through their outreach.[11] [12]

Global Wellness Day[edit]

Rekha initiated the Global wellness day celebration in India, It is celebrated the second Saturday of June every year[13] in order to promote wellness and accessibility to wellness in every day life. She is being supported by the ministries of various states especially Rajasthan and Maharashtra with the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot and Honorable Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, commending her efforts in making health and wellness a way of life. [13][14] [15] More recently she is also popularising an app plus chatbot developed by Dr Vishwes Kulkarni based in the UK that is already being used in Saudi and South Africa that will help monitor Covid 19 patients, track progress and provide additional assistance. Early Life[edit]

Rekha Chaudari is the MD JCKRC Spa Destination, Mumbai, and Global Wellness Ambassador for India. She is originally from Nadurbar, a tribal area in the Northwestern part of Maharashtra. As she grew up she moved to Mumbai to pursue her passion and further her knowledge in the beauty industry. In 2004 she was chosen to represent the French skincare line Remy Lauren. Eventually this led her to transition her business into the Spa and Wellness Industry. She has since then patented the “Rope Therapy” and the Concept of “Mother's Touch”. She has actively worked in the wellness industry for 26 years.

Various media houses, regional and national newspapers and new channels, business platforms & associations have invited Rekha Chaudhari to speak about her findings in wellness. Universities like Harvard University, John Hopkins, Oxford University have frequently invited her to speak about her research.
