Shweta Wahi is a freelance artist and fashion designer who works under her brand name SOLACE.
Shweta finished her schooling from Dubai Modern High School in UAE and is currently a BFA-Visual Arts student at York University in Toronto.
Fixated on a career in Art and Fashion, Shweta was fifteen when she completed a course in Fashion Illustration from The Design Academy in Knowledge Village- Dubai, after which she completed short courses in Fashion Styling(photography) and Art & Design from Central Saint Martins- London.
Shweta has also completed short courses in Dress Pattern Making,Quilting, Silk Painting, patchwork, mixed media, mosaic and charcoal from The Dubai International Art Centre.[1]
Latest Collection[edit]
Shweta made her debut as a Runway Designer at the Schulich Charity Association Fashion Show [2] in March 2009,[3] after which she went on to showcase the collection for the York University Portugese Association(YUPA) Fashion Show on the 1st of May.
Art[edit]
After being commissioned by the Murdoch University International Study Centre Dubai to complete paintings for their campus, Shweta had her first solo exhibition at the Walentowski Gallery in Dubai Mall.
Future Plans[edit]
Shweta is currently on the way to selling her clothes at a store in downtown Toronto.
