Brain Science Podcast is a monthly science podcast focusing on cognitive neuroscience and psychology hosted by Virginia (Ginger) Campbell MD. The show features long-form interviews of published scientists. The podcast has been active since its inception in December of 2005 and in that time has publicly released over 80 episodes.[1] It is available via the Brain Science Podcast website or through the iTunes Podcast Directory. The Brain Science Podcast is a member of Science Podcasters Network.

Host[edit]

Dr Campbell is Board-Certified in Family Medicine and has practiced Emergency Medicine in rural Alabama since 1992. She was born in Seattle, Washington in 1955. In 1978 she was awarded a BSE from the University of Alabama in Huntsville; in 1980 a MSE in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; and an MD from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1984. Guests[edit]

Dr Campbell interviews published academic guests with a wide variety of backgrounds ranging from the work of C. Randy Gallistel on the computational theories of memory, to the legal scholarship of David Eagelman, and the neurophilosophy of Patricia Churchland.
