Stephen Mark Davether Perez (born August 16, 1997) , more known as Stephen Perez is a Wikipedia user and a newspaper columnist from the Philippines.

About[edit]

Life and hobbies[edit]

He is born on August 16, 1997 in Batangas City as a premature baby at six months with his left eye blind due to retinopathy of prematurity.

He completed his academics at De La Salle Lipa from elementary to college, finishing his bachelor of science degree in Legal Management.

He is a voracious reader during his free time and has gained interests in jurisprudence, public service, community involvement and communications. His stance as a pro-life individual gained him local attention for his in-depth commentaries online tackling Philippine issues, earning him an interview through ALFM 95.9 Radyo Totoo Batangas on January 4, 2014.

Current undertakings[edit]

Stephen is currently a clerical worker in Batangas City for a government agency, a provincial reporter for a Tokyo-based internet radio station operated by Overseas Filipino Workers, a freelance voice-over and a part-time columnist-commentator at large for a regional newspaper.

He also operates the Kuya Stephen Perez Facebook page where he aired his Kuya Stephen Audio Service podcast from December 13, 2018 to May 8, 2021. The latter is inspired by Miyawaki Sakura's radio program 今夜、咲良の木の下で (Tonight Under The Sakura Tree) on BayFM78 Japan. With the Audio Service formally wrapped up, he regrouped his efforts through the Facebook page's video broadcasts - dubbed the Colorcast in honor of the term popularized by NBC and Tom Snyder.

He was previously a student journalist for the LAVOXA Group of Publications, the school's collegiate newspaper from 2015-19 in concurrency with his academic work. Outside of the academic grind, he is a part-time contributor for ALFM 95.9 Radyo Totoo in Batangas City, Philippines (a role he maintains until the present) and De La Salle Lipa's 106.1 Animo! FM (2017-19).

Outside of his work commitments, Stephen is an avid fan of AKB48, Iz*One and Momoland.
