RFA Criteria

You are about to read my opinions on how to get my support on an RfA. Note that this is an OPINION. If you think different, you can make your own criteria :-).

YOU ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!

  • Answer Question 1 well. If you say something that you have no experience on, you won't get my trust!
  • Admins know stuff. If you have optional questions, they must be answered to get my support! Otherwise I will stay neutral!
  • You need to use edit summaries. Not doing so can kill an RfA faster than you might think. I cannot support someone that does not use edit summaries, and I am not the only one!
  • One oppose vote leads to more oppose votes. If you have convincing oppose votes, I will use that information to cast my vote.
  • Admins have a LOT of experience. If you state in Question 1 that you are focused on working with A, B, and/or C, I want to see four months and 500 edits per topic. If you say Speedy Deletion, you must always notify the article creator. That is the only way I can find out whether or not you actually know it.
  • Mistakes are okay! However on an RfA people aren't exactly generous. If you have had problems with a topic, you will get an oppose vote from someone, however I will be okay with it once or twice. However if you mention Speedy Deletion, I will not be so generous and will definitely knock you down a few votes. Be careful!
  • RfA's can be very stressful. So lastly I say Good luck!!!
