Herbert Tobias Ezekiel (August 23, 1863, Richmond, Virginia – July 31, 1938), was a newspaperman and author.


Early life and education[edit]

Herbert Tobias Ezekiel was the son of Naphtali Judah Ezekiel and Rebecca Levy. Ezekial was a third-generation American, his grandfather, Tobias Jacob Ezekiel having emigrated to the United States from the Netherlands in 1804.[1].

Publishing career[edit]

Ezekiel was the publisher of The Jewish South [2], a weekly newspaper that served the Richmond, Virginia area, and wrote the book, "The History of the Jews of Richmond from 1769 to 1917."
