Urvashi Bahuguna is an Indian poet and essayist. She is the recipient of Charles Wallace India Trust Fellowship, Sangam House fellowship, Eclectica Spotlight Author Prize, and a TOTO Award for Creative Writing.[1]

Early life[edit]

Urvashi was born in Cuttack, Orissa, India.[2] She grew up in Goa, and later moved to the capital New Delhi. She gained an MA in creative writing from the University of East Anglia in England in 2014.[3] Her debut poetry collection, Terrarium, was originally titled Mudscope. It was selected for the 2017 Emerging Poets Prize by Aimee Nezhukumatathil and published in 2019.[4]
