From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Globiuz is the fantasy series of books written by Richard L. Douglas from 2018 to present. It combines the fairytales fantasy genre with the elements of early steampunk. The volumes of the series comprise separate installments, involving the established characters that migrate from sequel to sequel. An average length of which 300 paper pages.

Each book represents a shift in the history of Globiuz, political and economical change in certain kingdom or republic, or in science in general. There is a slight approach to the elemental magic, myths of witches and sorcerers. Globiuz unfolds as a war fantasy, but the moves to a sorcery and even tries the wizardry, perhaps trying to be more like Harry Potter.

The first book in the series, First Light rages bloody wars against the nomad swine-dog conquerors. Explains the differences between the Black and Green dwarfs and tries to introduce the reader to a little bit of everything the world has to offer. With a small bind of 250 paper pages, it does the job succinctly but lacking.

The second book, The Golden Scallop, tries to relaunch the formula of elemental magic and stay closer to the main characters, Crix and Legen, which does a better job than the first book, considering it's volume expanded up to 350 paper pagers. However, there is still a lacking source info for such novel that claims a huge title as Globiuz.

The author claims that Globiuz is in other words the globe of the fantasy events, and we understand it a completely new environment drafted from scratch.
