Overview[edit]

ARV (Advance Reporting and Vetting) is a javascript tool written and developed by lightdarkness. The tool adds a report link to the top of users' talk pages, which prompts for a reason. After entering the reason, the IP/Username and the reason are inserted on WP:AIV. It will not report if the vandal is already reported on WP:AIV.

History[edit]

Several improvements have been made since my initial beta testers have had a go at it. The way that the script grabs the username is through the URL, and sometimes certain factors affect how the URL is formatted. I believe I've gotten all the different cases, and it should get it correctly now. If not, please drop me a note on my talk page and I'll promptly fix it.

Also, if you have any feature requests for it, I'd be happy to hear about them.

Installation[edit]

ARV is pre-installed on Twinkle.
