The temple is located on the bank of the Sa-nam chai canal in west Bangkhunthien,Thonburi. The temple was built during the Ayutthaya Period and it is named Ratchaorasaram because it was established by Prince Chesadabodin a son of King Rama II. (During the Second Region, in 1820).
