User:Lord Cornwallis/List of Associated British Picture Corporation films

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A list of films produced or distributed by the Associated British Picture Corporation. Known in its early years as British International Pictures, the company emerged as one of two vertically integrated British major studios in the late 1920s. Possessing its own large chain of cinemas, the company led the British film industry alongside its rival Gainsborough Pictures, and its successor the Rank Organisation. The vast majority of the films released by ABPC were produced at the company's Elstree Studios or at its secondary Welwyn Studios. For many years the company was part-owned by Warner Brothers, and handled the British distribution of the company's films. In 1969 the company was taken over by EMI Films.
