The Mil Mi-PSV is an experimental helicopter and is based on the Mil Mi-24, a helicopter gunship developed in the Soviet Union. PSV stands for Perspektivny skorostnoi vertolet (Перспективный скоростной вертолёт) - prospective (promising) high speed helicopter.

The Mil-PSV is a helicopter with a conventional drive, 2 turboshafts, a tail rotor and a five-blade main rotor. Apart from the cockpit section, it differs only by the lack of weaponry, lack of military systems, without wing end plates and a new main rotor. The main difference relates to the cockpit section. Instead of the two cockpits in tandem for the pilot and weapons system operatorin the Mi-24, the Mil-PSV has a very aerodynamic cockpit for just one single-pilot. The Mil-PSV is a high speed helicopter. Its main mission is to test new rotor systems at high speeds, with a target of increasing the speed of the Mil Mi-28N by 10% and the Mil Mi-35M by 13%.[1] The mockup was shown at the MAKS Airshow 2015.
In April 2017 the Mi-PSv made first flights equipped with larg low mounted wings (mounted nearly at the level of its belly in front of the main landing gear.The normal smaller "Mi-24 wings" at the high of the cabin roof are removed.
