Hello I am Lynx, a Gemini with an Aquarius rising and an INTP. I’m of Irish & Cherokee descent, living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western Maryland with cats who own me.

I started college in 1975 at 15 as a special student (non-high school grad) majoring in Psych. After getting my GED, I got my A.A. before I would have graduated high school. I highly recommend going an alternative route for those, like me, who don’t care for the social games in school. Afterward I added Anthropology for a dual major. In addition to the humanities I developed an interest in history, math and particularly the sciences, especially theoretical. What I didn’t pick up in school I have researched on my own in my spare time. Wikipedia was a great shortcut for this and I loved it from the start.

I am intensely curious and love learning, which made me a nerd - very unpopular at that time, especially in my redneck high school. My experience in college was very different. It was after all the 70’s and other liberal minded people who enjoy learning and social activism made this time among the best of my life, along with forming lifelong friendships. The chemicals added to the experience ;)

My dream career would be a professional student. If only such a job existed! I enjoy the sense of community here at Wiki, and I’d love to hear more from y’all :)
