Frank Elías Rainieri Kuret (Santo Domingo, December 23, 1977) is the president and CEO of Grupo Puntacana, and has been part of the company since 2003. He has developed a successful career inside and outside the organization with different executive and leadership roles, demonstrating over the years his avant-garde vision and experience in the business and current trends.

First years and education Frank Elias Rainieri Kuret was born on December 23, 1977, in Santo Domingo, to a family with a long hotel tradition. His parents are the renowned Dominican hoteliers Frank Rainieri Marranzini and Haydée Kuret, and his sisters Paola and Francesca Rainieri.

He is a descendant of Italian immigrants who settled in the north of the Dominican Republic. His grandparents are Francisco Rainieri Franceschini (son of immigrants from northern Italy) and Venecia Marranzini Lepore (daughter of immigrants from southern Italy).

He spent much of his life in Punta Cana, helping his parents promote the destination, which would later become one of the most visited destinations in the Caribbean. He graduated from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance and then a master's degree in Finance at Boston University.

Career of Frank Elías Rainieri In 2003, he joined Grupo Puntacana and structured the Real Estate Sales Division. Today this division represents 10% of Grupo Puntacana's income.

In 2013, he began his role as Vice President of Business, assuming the Punta Cana International Airport, which resulted in sustained growth in non-aeronautical sales and positioning as the number 1 Insular Airport in the Caribbean using the ASQ tool as a measure of positioning.

He is a skilled entrepreneur; in the Real Estate sector, he chairs the Hoyo Claro Developing Group Inc. He has developed affordable housing, highlighting the Ciudad La Palma project, which today has a community of more than 880 homes and continues to grow. He also oversees the Ciudad Cayena project, a low-cost housing complex with 972 apartments, being the model used to create the Caracolí project.

Within the communications industry, he is part of the Board of Directors of Editora Bávaro S.A., a company dedicated to the marketing, distribution, and sales of printed media. In the restaurant line, he is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Wendy's, Pizza Hut, and Chili's fast-food franchise, represented in the country by the company Raya Food Dominicana, S.A.

He is the founder of the first Brewery in the Punta Cana area; Canita opened in 2016 and has a 40% annual growth.

Acknowledgments

He has been recognized by the Youth Parliament as Young Entrepreneur of the year 2007, within the awards for Youth Merit, under the motto Effort, Progress, Talent, and Improvement.

In 2009, he was recognized for the creation of the “Edúcate. Súmate. Aporta” campaign for education as Coordinator of the Education Commission. In October 2015, he was recognized by the digital tourism REPORTUR MX as one of the 12 Latin tourism leaders with the most future.

He chaired the Board of Directors of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) from 2012-2013. In May 2018, Roger Williams University awarded him an honorary Doctorate Honoris Causa.

The Real Estate Entrepreneurs Club recognized him in October 2019 as Entrepreneur of the Year. At the beginning of 2021, he was recognized with the Entrepreneurs of the Year allied to the Tourism Sector award, granted by the distinguished Mercado Magazine of the Dominican Republic.

Philanthropy and community support

Frank Elías Rainieri Kuret is notable for his philanthropic work with several initiatives implemented through the Grupo Puntacana Foundation. His support for the development of communities has been one of his focuses and advocacy for the local youth by encouraging sports and actively supporting basketball teams in Higuey.
