UpClear is a global Enterprise Software Software as a service provider to the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. UpClear is privately held with offices in New York, London, and Hong Kong, and branches in Australia, France, and Singapore. UpClear owns and delivers the BluePlanner(TM) cloud-based business software. The solution is designed for Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) / Consumer Product Goods (CPG) manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors, to enable revenue management, integrated business planning, and promotional planning analytics (covering Trade Promotion Management). Originally, the solution was developed as a trade promotion management tool to support commercial planning by sales managers. It has since evolved further to include Sales and operations planning, predictive modeling, claims settlement, and accruals management.

UpClear was founded in 2007 with two entities in the United Kingdom and United States of America. In 2012, UpClear opened a Hong Kong presence to support its expansion in Asia. In 2016, it created branches in Australia, France, and Singapore. UpClear has deployed its software in more than 20 countries including:

Customers[edit]

UpClear’s software is used by consumer goods, manufacturing, and wholesale distribution companies across mature and emerging markets worldwide, being deployed across an widening number of countries. UpClear has over 50 clients, where the software is deeply integrated with various ERP and demand planning solutions from other vendors, notably SAP, Oracle and Infor, and with third party data sources such as Nielsen and IRI, to integrate EPOS data. Brands UpClear works with include Air Wick, Danone, Dettol, Durex, Equal, Evian, Finlandia Cheese, Hovis, Jelly Belly, King Arthur Flour, King's Hawaiian, Lala, Lundberg Family Farms, Pure Via, SlimFast, Splenda, Tony Chachere’s, Warburtons, and Zest.

Technology[edit]

The BluePlanner solution runs on Microsoft SQL, .Net Framework and HTML technologies and is hosted on Rackspace hosting services. As BluePlanner is a “modular” solution, it is frequently deployed by a single parent company across different markets in different configurations depending on local business needs and maturity. Recognition[edit]

UpClear has been ranked by Inc. 5000 in 2014, 2015, and 2016 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S.A.[1] UpClear was voted as winner of the 2016 Consumer Goods Technology magazine ‘Reader’s Choice’ award for ‘Customer Satisfaction Leader’ [2] and listed as a ‘Top 10’ vendor in both 2016 and 2017 [3]. The Promotion Optimization Institute awarded UpClear ‘Best in Class’ in the 2016 “TPx Vendor Panorama” [4] whilst BluePlanner’s capabilities have been recognized in similar reports by Gartner [5].
