Pre Release (also known as Se7en or Unfinalised[1]) is a bootleg album claiming to include new tracks by Michael Jackson. While the album, released online in early 2007 (with 2008 usually in the album title[2]), does contain Jackson tracks, the majority of tracks only feature him as a background vocalist, whilst some tracks are credited to Jackson but are instead by soundalike artist Jason Malachi.

Track listing[edit]

  1. "Gangsta (No Friend of Mine)"
    • Performed by Tempamental featuring Pras (contains Jackson on vocals)
  2. "Escape"
    • Usually titled "Xscape," this track leaked in 2002. It was to feature on Resurrection, a 2002 album Jackson was to release. Plans were scrapped and work started on the Number Ones compilation.
  3. "Why"
    • Performed by 3T featuring Jackson. This was released as a single in 1995 from their Brotherhood album, hitting #2 in the UK.
  4. "What More Can I Give"
    • Charity song recorded for 9/11 and intended for release in 2001. Epic Records scrapped the release so it would not interfere with promotion for Jackson's 2001 Invincible album, creating a lot of tension between Epic and Jackson. A short edit was released in 2003.
