Uthandi is a locality in the south of Chennai in Chennai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Even though it comes under the administration of Chennai it enjoys a close proximity to the Chennai city. Uthandi is included with the Chennai Corporation and it is the last ward for chennai corporation.
Demographics[edit]
This suburb (near Chennai) extends from the Bay of Bengal (ECR) to Rajiv Gandhi Salai, the IT corridor of the city, thus enjoying a boom in real estate prices.
Uthandi has two prominent schools "Suddananda Vidyalaya" and Govt High School, Uthandi
Prominent residents include several IAS officers, judges, and film actors and actress.
