Kenneth Keith, Baron Keith of Castleacre (1916–2004) was a merchant banker and industrialist.

Biography[edit]

Kenneth Alexander Keith was born on 30 August 1916 at Castle Acre, Norfolk. His father was Edward Keith, a farmer and author, and his mother was Gertrude (née Telfair). He was the elder of two sons.

He was educated at Rugby School and trained to be a chartered accountant with Peat Marwick. When World War II broke out in 1939, he was commissioned as an officer in the Welsh Guards, rising to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, and then joined the Foreign Office.[1][2][3]
