Early Life[edit]

Manjit Singh G.K Belongs From The Sikh Panthic Family. His Father, Lt. Jathedar Santokh Singh Ji Was Great Leader And A Prominent Sikh Social Activist From Delhi, He Was Also President Of The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC). GK was Active in Delhi University Committee & College Politics. He Fought For Rights In Nirankari Movement & Got Arrested First Time In His Life. In 1978.


Starting Of Political Career & Achievement[edit]

Following the Assassination of Jathedar Santokh Singh Ji in 1981, the Great Sikh Religious Personality Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Ji Bhindrawale propelled Manjit Singh G.K. into Sikh Politics. Later In 1982 GK Becomes The President Of Youth Akali Dal ( Official Youth Wing Of Sikh Heritage Party “Shiromani Akali Dal”). In 1991 He Fought With Census Commission Of India For Primary Rights Of Sikh Community. In 1995 During His Tenure As Chairman Of Guru Harkrishan Public School Vasant Vihar GK Was First To Introduce Internet In School Education of Delhi, Also In 1997-98 First Time In Delhi He Opened Special Section For Slow Learner Students At GHPS Vasant Vihar.

Social Causes[edit]

To Spread The Message Of Environment By Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji, Manjit Singh G.K Started “Khalsa Environment Project” On Vaisakhi 1999 With Opening Of 2 Nurseries At Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib & Gurdwara Bala Sahib, New Delhi. Also Started Free Distribution Of Plants With Campaign Named “Podha Parshad”. For Humanitarian Life Saving Cause Also He Opened “Khalsa Blood Bank”


Ranghreta March[edit]

A unique foot march “Ranghreta March” from Gurdwara Sri Rakabganj Sahib to Sri Anandpur Sahib on March 28, 1999 under the Conduct of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and led by Panj Pyareas, as a token of Bhai Jaita carrying the head of Guru Tegh Bahadar Sahib to Anandpur Sahib. This march joined the celebrations on 13 April 1999 at Sri Anandpur Sahib to mark the third centenary of the Khalsa Creation Day. On the way, lakhs of sangats attended it.


Got Punjabi language as Second Official language[edit]

It was started in 1964 by Jathedar Santokh Singh Ji. & In 2003, S. Manjit Singh GK by taking Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Sheila Dikshit into confidence, Punjabi language was given the status of second official language in Delhi.

Tenure As President DSGMC[edit]

Manjit Singh GK Elected As New President DSGMC in General Elections Of 2013



In 2013 Manjit Singh G.K Becomes DSGMC Chief As His Father Was. During His Tenure, He Always Took A Stand For Panthic Issues & Social Rights. He Performed Various Protests & Had Successful Meetings With High Command Leaders. He Contributed Significantly to the Development of Gurdwaras and Sikh Educational Institutions. Some Of The Great Contribution Are:



  • First Time Ever Commemoration of “Delhi Fateh Diwas” by Dal Khalsa in 1783 has been celebrated five times (2014 to 2018) with Khalsai Jaho-Jalal at Red Fort Ground.

  • On the occasion of the 350th Birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, 5000 devotees were sent from Delhi to Janam Asthan Patna Sahib by three special trains. On this special auspicious occasion, a lavish two-day event was Organised for the First time at The India Gate, New Delhi.
  • The Court battle to recognize Khalsa colleges as Minority educational institutions was Won. After Negotiating with the central Government, the Government gave an affidavit in favour of the Sikhs, after which 50% of the seats in the four colleges have now been reserved for the Sikh students. Giving minority recognition (minority status) to important Sikh institutions, About 1500 more seats were reserved for Sikh children, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College (5th rank in Delhi University), Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Mata Sundari College for Women.
  • The legal battle was fought on a war footing to get justice for the victims of the 1984 Sikh massacre, due to which we succeeded in jailing Sikh killer Sajjan Kumar. Also, they succeeded in getting the convicts of Mahpalpur violence hanged and sentenced to life imprisonment.
  • The widows of the 1984 Sikh Massacre were given Pensions and their children were educated Free of Cost in Guru Harikrishna Public Schools.
The memorial of 1984 Sikh massacre at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib premises “Wall of Truth” was dedicated to humanity after three and a half years of hard work and a cost of Rs 2.25 crore.

While there were three memorials of Indira Gandhi in Delhi before this, there was no memorial of the Sikhs killed in the massacre. 88 accused were sentenced to 3 to 5 years for the Trilokpuri riots that killed Sikhs.

Formation Of New Political Party: JAGO[edit]

Jathedar Santokh Singh ji may have been involved in the high command of Shiromani Akali Dal, but he left no stone unturned to create a separate identity for the Sikhs of Delhi. He continued to pressurize the Akali Dal high command to settle the Religious issues of the sect together but allow freedom to work for the Sikhs settled outside Punjab in the princely region. Jathedar Manjit Singh G.K. Taking this path, first formed Shiromani Akali Dal Panthak and registered its presence by winning 6 seats in the 200 7 Delhi Committee elections. In 2008, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) chief Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal visited Sardar Manjit Singh GK's house and offered to take over the Delhi unit of the Akali Dal. After which the party won a big victory in the committee elections of 2013 and 2017 under the leadership of Sardar Manjit Singh GK. But after clashing with the Akali Dal's thinking on Panthak issues, Sardar Manjit Singh on 2 October 2019 brought into existence a religious party named “Jago Jag Asra Guru Ott (Jathedar Santokh Singh)” and announced that his party would No member will take part in any political elections and will fight in front of national issues.
