Not to be confused with Markham By-Pass (Donald Cousens Way).

Cornell Centre Boulevard, formerly named as Old Markham By-Pass, is a short road created in the 1980s in east end of Markham, Ontario to divert traffic off Markham Road and Ninth Line south of Major Mackenzie Drive. Portions of the road was used later to create the Donald Cousens Parkway, which previous was named the Markham By-Pass. To differentiate the two different "by-passes", this particular roadway was named Old Markham By-Pass, while the Markham Town Council comes up with a new name for the roadway. The remaining portions of the old bypass now begins at 16th Avenue and ends at Highway 7. The road is renamed in 2008 to Cornell Centre Boulevard, when the entire road becomes a residential roadway.

The current road cuts through new residential development of Cornell, Ontario to the north, but the south end traverse small pockets of farmland still remaining in Markham.

Despite the road's renaming in 2008 to Cornell Centre Boulevard, the road is still appearing on Google Maps as the Old Markham By-Pass. [1]
