The company was originally founded as Shiraz & Co. in 1st March 1985 and later rebranded as Shiraz Khan Basak & Co.
In 2020, The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC),the regulator of the capital market of Bangladesh has revised the list of eligible audit firms following the non-compliance of the CA firm. Shiraz Khan Basak & Co. was listed as eligible Chartered Accountant firm.[1]
In 2021, The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has formed a 61-auditor panel for auditing financial statements of the DSE trading right entitlement certificate holders to ensure transparency in financial statements. Shiraz Khan Basak & Co. was listed among the auditor panel. [2]
In 2021, Shiraz Khan Basak & Co. provided consulting services for identification, comprehensive listing, valuation/revaluation, recording and reorganization of Rural Power Company Limited’s asset. Rural Power Company Limited is an autonomous government company responsible for rural electrification and power in Bangladesh.[3]
