About[edit]

I mostly edit articles having to do with either music album/single sales and chart performance.

Specifically, I'm among the top contributors at sales lists such as the List of best-selling singles, the List of best-selling albums, the List of best-selling albums in South Korea, and the List of best-selling singles in the United States. I used to be a very prolific editor – in 2012 I made over 3200 edits including 510 in March alone. Nowadays I make a few dozen edits per month, if any, and less than 500 per year.

Why I'm A User[edit]

To quote Cprice1000 --"I often see incorrect/out of date material and really want to do something about instead of poke and yell at other Wikipedians to do it for me. So I made an account and became a Wikipedian who is --mostly-- open to be poked and yelled at."

Literally speaking, I actually created my Wikipedia account to ask that Prince be added to the aforementioned best-selling artists list.

As an editor for over 10 years, I am well aware of WP:POV, WP:OR, WP:VER (and corollary WP:RS).

However, when it comes to incomplete information regarding music sales (especially from smaller markets), I am a strong proponent of Wikipedia:Truth, not verifiability and WP:CALC because I have found that worldwide album sales and certifications are often inflated by press releases or conversely not updated at all. (the Grease soundtrack, Bob Marley's Legend, Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits, and every major 1980's soundtrack that isn't Dirty Dancing)
