Mariam Ghani is an American artist, writer and filmmaker. She lives and works in Brooklyn. She is also the daughter of the president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani.[1]

Biography[edit]

Ghani was born in New York[1] and was raised in Baltimore.[2] She received her bachelors degree from New York University and her masters from the School of Visual Arts.[3]

Work[edit]

She showed her short film, based on the novel, The City and the City by China Mieville in 2015 at the St. Louis Art Museum during the "Currents" exhibition.[4]
