So we are somehow to build credibility without advertising ourselves. That could be difficult, but I can see the purpose of this -- editors should be invisible and articles stand on their own merits. However, I don't have time to verify every reference made by authors and editors, so the credibility of editors is important to me and I hope to achieve credibility with others. I live in the western United States and have lived outside the continental United States for 18 years, with significant time in Hawaii, Alaska, and Iceland. That's enough to "google" me right down to a real person.

I have published one article with photos titled the "Eagles of Adak" in Alaska Magazine, March 1978; and published six photos from Adak in the Fall, 1980 issue of Alaska Geographic. The Alaska Geographic in particular is an excellent contemporaneous authority on Alaska. For a year or so I was editor and publisher of Stereoscopy Magazine a small publication issued to members of the International Stereoscopic Union dedicated to stereo (3-D) photography.
