Wikipedia user Michael-david Reisman (born 4 Nov 1963, Suffern, NY)

I grew up in Southern Maine and South Florida, studying both music and plants.

After graduating from John I. Leonard High School (Class of 1982), in Greenacres, Florida, I worked for the estate of American Orchid Society benefactor Lewis Vaughn from 1984 to 1988.

I grew bonsai and orchids, beside holding other jobs.

I worked for Wellstream L.L.C., an off-shore petroleum equipment company (Manufacturers of high pressure flexible pipe) from 1992 to 1996, at which time I left to found Panama City School of Music (1996 - 2002).

I resigned as director of the music school to complete my B.A. in Music Theory/Composition at the University of Texas at Arlington (2002, Magna Cum Laude).

When I returned to Florida I attended graduate school at Florida State University, studying viola da gamba, musicology, and string education.

After my father's death in an auto accident in 2004, I returned to Panama City, Florida where I taught orchestra and guitar at Bay High School.

Recently I was am a graduate student at the University of South Carolina.

My other interests include language and linguistics, Hebrew, Spanish, Italian, Catalan, and Latin.

Kle Z'mer, World folk musics, string band music, ancient music, organology, and botany (esp. xerophytic plants and orchids).
