About Me

I was born in Houston, Texas and lived there for a brief period of two years. After that, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and then Memphis, Tennessee. After living in Memphis for about 4 years i moved to Roanoke, Virginia and then to Blacksburg, Virginia, where I currently reside. I am currently attending Dayspring Christian Academy, a small Christian school located in Christiansburg, Virginia. I am deeply involved in the basketball and soccer team at my school but my true passion, at least sportswise, is my club lacrosse team, New River Valley Lacrosse Club. I am also an avid guitar and bass guitar player. My tastes are varied which can be attributed to my fathers love of music and how he is constantly sharing his tastes with me.

Involvement in Music

I am an aspiring musician with roots ranging from bluegrass to experimental indie. My influences for my guitar playing are rooted in classic rock. As my guitar playing has become more advanced I have strayed farther from the simple chord progressions of classic rock guitarists and he blended it with patterns from blues guitarists and then experimental indie guitar. My vocals take primary influence from Jesse Lacey of Brand New, Bob Dylan, and the lead singer for Bright Eyes, Connor O'Berst. I am currently the lead guitarist for a band currently known as There's A Snake In My Boot; but a name change may be pending. I am also involved in a side project with the drummer for There's A Snake In My Boot, Aaron Taylor. This side project could be viewed as lighter rock in comparison to the melodic hardcore genre employed by There's A Snake In My Boot. This side project currently remains unnamed.

Involvement in Sports

I am involved in soccer and basketball in my school as mentioned above. I play for the JV (Junior Varsity) basketball team and the Varsity Soccer team. I do not start in either sport. However, I do start on my club lacrosse team under the position of Attack.

What You May Find Me Writing About

Because of my deep passion for music, I may be found writing about such. I also am a lover of history and general knowledge so I may be found editing such articles as well as writing them. Because the history course I am taking requires a great understanding of European history and philosophy i may be found writing articles on the topic as a way to grant others the understanding as well as review the knowledge myself.
