Welcome to my User Page!

My name is Mireya Gonzalez and you are now visiting my user page. I'm going to start this page off by talking a little bit about myself.

I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. I love Milwaukee and have been able to call it my home for the last 3 years, but Chicago will always have my heart. I grew up on the south side of the city. The culture, food, sites, etc. are just a few of my favorite things about the city. One of my favorite spots to go to in the summer is this area on the beach near Lincoln Park Zoo. You can sit there by the water and see the skyline.

I have two siblings, named Andrea and Gabriel. My sister is a freshman at Northern Illinois University and my brother is in the 4th grade. I am very close to my family, and enjoy spending time with them. I have a dog at home that I miss 24/7. Her name is Emi and she is a white and brown pit bull. I am a junior at Marquette, studying biological sciences. I am also finishing my second year of being an RA in Cobeen Hall. I also work on campus in the office of the Facilities department.

Some of my hobbies include reading, cooking, hiking, etc. One of my favorite places to hike is in Mexico. In Sombrerete, Zacatecas, a town in Mexico, there is the rock formation named "Sierra de Los Organos." Every time I'm there I make to sure visit and hike there with my family.
