Article Edits - Outline[edit]

Most of my article edits will be revolving around the historic and infamous shooting that took place at the O Street Market. This is one of the most noteworthy events in the history of the market, yet there is almost no information about it on the Wikipedia page. I plan on going in depth about the shooting, using first person accounts, providing background information on crime in DC, and mentioning the current state of the O Street Market.

Header 1: O Street Market Shooting - use most of my sources here - first talk about facts and stats about the shooting; provide background information - in a new paragraph, talk about first person accounts - bring in quotes to make points more powerful - make sure to mention the reliability of the quotes - talk briefly about the aftermath of the shooting and any subsequent arrests or indictments

Header 2: Violence in the District of Columbia - use articles that have crime statistics to show how dangerous DC was/still is - specifically, look for crimes taking place at the O Street Market (corner of O Street and 6th) - Look at crime after the shooting at O Street Market as well as after the rebuilding effort - Analyze any patterns or trends, look to see if local efforts have reduced crime in and around the O Street Market

Header 3: Rebuilding Effort - talk about the efforts to rebuild the O Street Market - mention the current status of the market - discuss what effects it has had locally, if any
