Grande Attraversata del Supramonte (Sardinia)

The Grande Attraversata del Supramonte (Crossing of the Supramonte) is a trekking route in the territory of the district of Nuoro (Sardinia). It was conceived by Carlo Conca, one of the best known and most expert guides and author in Sardinia. The itinerary crosses the Sardinian east coast for almost 50 kilometers (approximately 27 miles) from Arcu Correboi (Nuoro) to Su Gologone (Nuoro). It takes, on average, 4 days to complete it.

The idea stems from the fact that in recent years the fame of the Selvaggio Blu (Sardinia) trek has outclassed the more famous Supramonte only because there is so much talk of the latter, but it has rarely been proposed as a territory for long autonomous treks. http://www.grandetraversatadelsupramonte.it
