The article I have chosen to contribute to is the article on vulgarity. I plan on adding articles describing what is considered vulgar for each continent, and if, given the time and resources, might include more specifics (how it varies within each continent). I will research what each place considers vulgar in both verbal ways and what physical gestures. I plan to find articles, books, and other sources on the topic of social interactions in order to see what would be considered vulgarity for each place.

One of the things I noticed was how vague the article is. It does give some background information about the topic, most of which is historical, but there is some general information. When critiquing the article, (Footballs) I looked at what there was, and what could I add of value to those who will be reading the topic. I found a topic I enjoy and really love, and when I read through it, I tried to find topics or ideas that are either missing, or that I would like to find out more about, which is how I was able to find the parts to edit of the article. In a similar way, vulgarity is interesting to me in an intellectual and academical way, as well as in a personal way. I find it interesting how in France you normally greet someone by kissing their cheeks, yet in America they really do not find it normal, or how In Japan even being late is considered an insult. For editing the article of vulgarity Ill try and find sources to help compare the differences in each continents and cultures view of vulgarity and how they compare to each other.
