Albany All Stars Roller Derby is a woman's flat track roller derby team based out of Albany, New York. It was founded in 2007, and is the Capital Region's first roller derby team. They are unaffiliated with WFTDA, and are not planning on so becoming. Their season runs from January until June. Home bouts are played at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany[1]. All bouts feature a raffle of prizes donated by area businesses, with hal fof the proceeds going to the sponsored charity of the night. They have also participated in fund raisers for local charities outside of their bouts [2] Bouts also feature various local bands, who play before bouts and during intermissions. Occasionally the team will have a demo or floor show, between the periods.[3]
