Parsec Technologies is a privately held fabless semiconductor company and global provider of advanced antenna and amplifier technology headquartered in Plano, Texas, USA. The company specializes in embedding passive/active antenna modules for GPS, GNSS, M2M (Machine-to-Machine), IoT (Internet-of-Things) and LTE.

History[edit]

Parsec was founded in Massachusetts in 2003 as a Delaware Corporation and relocated to Plano, Texas in 2004. Parsec’s first product introduction was a low noise discrete video amplifier for Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH). Parsec then developed a complete discrete version of the Triplexer for FTTH, merging voice, video and data communications on one device. In 2007 Parsec licensed the discrete triplexer design to a large, publicly traded company and began work on developing semiconductor versions of the FTTH Triplexer, video receivers and amplifiers.

In 2010 the company expanded into the cable TV market with the PT1001 and PT1002 semiconductor chips. The company then introduced a CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) compliant amplifier for HDTV, Parsec’s PT1201. In 2012 Parsec expanded their product line with the PT1200 series platform to include three (3) additional RFIC amplifiers: one for GPS/GNSS, one for M2M applications and one for LTE. In 2013, Parsec announced the introduction of a new line of passive/active antennas and module products for GPS/GNSS, and M2M wireless and mobile markets.
