CBT Nuggets is an American Information Technology (IT) training company headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, United States, founded in 1999. The company provides video streaming software and services broken down into what it coins as "nuggets" of detail. Its website includes supplementary exercises and practice exams for users to practice on before attempting an IT related certification.
History[edit]
Instructional videos created by the company from 1999 to 2010 were primarily distributed via DVD. The company started its video streaming model in the late 2000s and soon after became international.

While early content was delivered by DVDs and box releases, the model was quickly abandoned as content would later be distributed via a stand-alone server for enterprise customers.
In 2012, the first rack-mountable server unit that would archive content for local users without the need for an internet connection was called the Nugget Archive Server (or NAS).
In 2014, a product known as the Nugget Learning Server, or NLS, was available to large organizations, such as international governments, military organizations and education markets as an upgrade from the NAS.

NuggetLove is a company-led initiative to assist non-profits and non-governmental organizations in improving educational opportunities for the global community. As a US veteran-owned business, CBT Nuggets offers free IT training to active duty service men and women.
