'Stacia Pierce (born June 8, 1967 in Grand Rapids, Michigan) is a life and style coach to thousands of women worldwide. An award-winning community leader, CEO and author with more than 21 books to her credit, Pierce is empowering celebrities, executives, pastors' wives and women leaders from all walks of life for success.

Life and Career[edit]

Pierce married James Pierce on March 16, 1991 and they have two children. They reside in East Lansing, Michigan. Since 1993, Pierce has co-pastored Life Changers Christian Center alongside her husband, who is the senior pastor. With a membership of more than 4,000, Life Changers Christian Center is one church with two locations in Lansing and Muskegon, Michigan.[1]

In 1997, Pierce founded and hosted the first Women's Success Conference, which now attracts more than 3,000 women each year to Lansing, Michigan.[2] It has been recognized by political dignitaries as an influential event for women. In 2004, Lansing Mayor Tony Benavides awarded James and Stacia Pierce with the Key to the City of Lansing, for outstanding leadership and community value. This honor hadn't been given in the city in 15 years.[3] In 2007, Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero officially named May 24 as Dr. Stacia Pierce Day in recognition of her outstanding commitment to the growth of women in the City of Lansing.

Pierce's commitment to empowering women gained national attention and even earned a nod from the White House in 2005, as she was invited to an exclusive pastors' wives luncheon with former First Lady Laura Bush, President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell during inaugural events.[4]

Pierce founded the Successful Living organization to mentor women and help them reach their fullest potential. She hosts Successful Living Women's Workshops monthly, where she provides free life coaching sessions and networking opportunities. The workshops are attended by more than 300 entrepreneurial, social and influential women across Mid-Michigan, as well as Flint, Detroit, Grand Rapids and Battle Creek.[5]

Pierce holds a PhD in Religious Studies and a Doctorate of Ministry.[6] She has authored more than 21 books, including her signature 25 Ways series. Pierce is also a featured columnist for Inspired Living Magazine and has written feature articles in magazines such as Gospel Today, First Lady, The Lily House, Keeping God First and Capital Area Women's Lifestyle.

Pierce's philanthropic efforts are evidenced by her creation of community outreach programs including Women Caring for Women, Shop-n-Swap and the Alfred L. Scott Read to Succeed Foundation. Founded in October 2008, Pierce started the Alfred L. Scott Read to Succeed Foundation in honor of her late father. The foundation's goal is to instill a love of learning in others by providing opportunities for every individual to access quality, success-oriented books and develop the passion to read them.

Pierce appeared on The Word Network from 2003 to 2007 on her show entitled Successful Living with Dr. Stacia Pierce. In June 2010, Pierce entered the My OWN Show Contest, presented by OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. She placed third out of over 9,000 entries with 7,604,501 votes, joining 8 online finalists and 35 live-audition finalists from whom 10 contestants will be chosen for the reality show titled My OWN Show, which will air on the network in January 2011.
