Fr.Rijo Muprappallil, (born 10 August 1984) in Thirdcamp, in Idukki district. His baptism name is Joseph. He belongs to the Syro Malabar syrian Catholic Eparchy of Kanjirappally.
Early life and education
Fr. Joseph Muprappallil was born at Thirdcamp, in the Idukki District of Kerala State, India. He studied at the Govt. LP School Thirdcamp and Govt. HSS Kallar. Then pursued his priestly studies at Mary Minor Seminary, Podimattam. During these years he done his bachelor in History from St.Dominics College, Podimattam, Kanjirapally.
His philosophy studies were in the Good Schepherd Major Seminary Kunnoth and the theology studies were at the Rolduc Major seminary in the Netherlands.
Career
Joseph Muprappallil successfully completed philosophical and theological studies and was ordained to the priesthood on 17 January 2013 by bishop mar Mathew Arackal, in the presence of Mgr. Frans Wiertz (bishop of Roeromond diocese in the Netherlands). During 2013-2016 he served as the Assistant Vicar of St.John the Evangelist paishfederation in Hoensbroek (The Netherlands). In 2016 he was appointed Assistant vicar of the South Heerlen parishes.
